Job summary

A leading consulting firm in Singapore seeks a financial expert to manage project finances and prepare budgets. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in construction project costing and a Bachelor's degree in Finance. Responsibilities include cash flow projections, variance analysis, and preparing detailed management reports. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills are essential. Job description
Responsibilities
  • Work with project teams and HR to assess project funding requirements and prepare monthly cash flow projections and quarterly rolling forecasts, in line with agreed terms with main contractors, asset owners, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Review and analyse actual versus budget performance, identify variances, and coordinate with the QS Manager and HR Manager on a quarterly or half-yearly basis.
  • Source and secure competitive bonds and project insurance, supported by comparison analyses.
  • Plan and manage foreign currency requirements, monitor forex movements, and implement forex procurement plans to minimize exposure risk.
  • Liaise with the corporate secretary on group corporate secretarial matters.
  • Liaise with banks, insurers, corporate secretary, and relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and support for business decision-making.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, including cash flow, banking facilities, LC and invoice financing, bonds and insurance, forex requirements, and resolutions/minutes summaries.
  • Provide coordination and support to the Financial Controller.
Requirements
  • Min 5 years of relevant working experience in construction project costing and project-based environments.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • Meticulous, detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
