Your role and responsibilities

Join us as a Project Engineer for the Electrification Business area where you will be providing and leading the team with professional engineering methodology that ensures comprehensive engineering planning, sound project design, and quality engineering management.

This position reports to the Engineering Manager and is based in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Create an engineering design concept / philosophy definition.
• Act as a technical lead and approve design deliverables.
• Review complete project documents for conformity, safety, cybersecurity, and quality assurance requirements.
• Review and adjust design as necessary, based on design output to meet contractual obligations.
• Anticipate and solve unprecedented design problems, crucial issues, and/or unique conditions.
• Collaborate on project installation, commissioning, and site activities to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify engineering errors.
• Provide technical support to commissioning and start-up activities.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field
• 7–10 years of experience in engineering, lead engineering, or engineering management, ideally for electrification projects, design, review, test and supervision of the manufacturer of electrical equipment, such as MV/LV SWGR, Transformer, PMS, Compact Substation and eHouse
• Experience in eHouse projects such as coordinating and driving engineering activities and technical clarifications performed by engineering experts from different disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, structural and cooling engineering, by eHouse fabricators and by suppliers of equipment to be installed into an eHouse
• Demonstrated experience in managing engineering activities, vendors/subcontractors as well as engineering processes
• A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following workplace safety guidelines
• A high level of self-motivation and curiosity, and a desire to learn about new technologies
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong, well-developed communication, influencing and coaching skills
• Good written and interpersonal skills
