Job summary

A construction engineering company in Singapore is seeking professionals to interpret specifications, manage construction materials, and coordinate site activities. Responsibilities

• Interprets specifications and checks steelwork shop drawings.
• Organizes and directs construction material delivery and site activities.
• Checks construction drawings for feasibility and collaborates with detailers.
• Records and monitors design changes and their cost impacts.
• Liaises with client's Technical Manager on engineering matters.
• Coordinates with Project Site Engineer on technical issues.
• Monitors fabrication progress and coordinates with Production Department.

Job description

• Interprets specifications, drawings, plans and checks all steelwork shop drawings done by the structural detailer if in accordance to client’s construction drawing prior to submission
• Organizes and directs the delivery of construction materials and establishing detailed programs and schedule of site activities
• Checks the construction drawings if feasible for erection on site and work closely with the structural detailer for any proposal if needed
• Records and monitors design changes and assess their cost impact for the project’s contract sum and coordinate with the Contract Department
• Liaises with the client’s Technical Manager for all engineering and technical matters focusing structural discipline
• Responsible for coordinating with the Project Site Engineer for any site related technical issues
• Monitors the fabrication progress and coordinate closely to Production Department to meet the required schedule and report it to the client
