Project Design Engineer – Offshore (Oil & Gas)

Job Description

We are seeking a Project Design Engineer to join our offshore oil & gas engineering team in Singapore. The role involves supporting FEED and detailed design for offshore facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering safe, reliable, and cost-effective engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review design deliverables (PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specs, layouts) for offshore platforms, FPSOs, and subsea systems.
• Perform engineering calculations and process simulations (equipment sizing, hydraulics, line sizing, relief system analysis).
• Ensure designs comply with international codes and standards (API, ASME, DNV, ISO).
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and design review workshops.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (process, mechanical, structural, E&I, safety).
• Support procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to align on project deliverables.
• Monitor project schedule, cost, and quality to meet project milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, or Offshore Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in offshore oil & gas engineering (FEED and detailed design).
• Strong knowledge of offshore topsides, subsea, or FPSO projects.
• Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, AutoCAD, PDMS/E3D, CAESAR II).
• Familiarity with international design standards (API, DNV, ASME, ISO).
