Job Description

• Providing subject matter expertise, ownership, and coverage for all duties within the Solutions & Optimization and the Financial Modelling functions at MUFG Investor Services
• Solutions & Optimization: Responsible for advising best practices and providing Subject Matter expertise around Fund Administration, including complex fund structures, data strategy/data onboarding, fee calculations (mgmt. fees, carried interest, and incentive fees), performance measures, target operating model, and general solutioning with focus on automation and efficiencies for our Clients
• Financial Modelling: Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of financial models within the Private Equity, Real Estate, Single Manger and Fund of Fund target operating models utilizing Anaplan.
• Develop robust financial models by translating requirements into model architecture, developing tables/logic in Anaplan, building out calculations, dashboards, user permissions etc.
• Providing Solution architecture (organizing data, flow, tables, actions, etc.) and developing models in accordance with requirements provided by the Business. Facilitating all steps of roll out from development to testing/production release
• General Admin functionality including model maintenance, data feeds, User Guides and general documentations, R&D Improvements, user management, etc.
• Providing support to Client Integration (Onboarding) and Client Operations (BAU/Onboarding) to ensure structures and data setups are optimal. Where needed, providing data remediation (advise & assist) to ensure optimization and data models are in place for fee calculations.
• Read and understand fund documentation (LPA’s, OM’s, Side Letters) and produce interpretations and sample workings
• Train staff on relevant applications within the solutions and fee modelling applications
• Provide additional ad-hoc support and solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience with a strong understanding of Private Equity, Real Asset or Hedge markets and fund operations (Fund structures, NAV process, Capital activity, fee calcs, etc.)
• Proven track record with building and implementing complex models like performance fees or waterfall carried interest (dynamic inputs, robust models, variety of outputs, scenario analysis, reporting, etc.)
• Capable of modelling use cases and scenarios for testing and client request for demonstration
• Client-focused mindset, problem solving and solution oriented, delivering superior customer results
• Experience and comfort onboarding and working with large data sets
• Excellent attention to detail
• Expert proficiency in Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Candidate must be highly self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong experience with PERA or Hedge applications or modeling tools like Anaplan.
