Job summary

A leading optics technology company based in Singapore is seeking a Product Owner to manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and oversee product performance improvements. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in optics or opto-mechanical systems. Responsibilities include coordinating with Sales & Marketing as well as Operations, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, and driving initiatives related to First Article Tests. Strong knowledge of optical components, proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks, and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in optics, opto-mechanical, or opto-electronic systems.
• Strong knowledge of optical components and their functionality.
• Hands-on experience with optical testing and metrology systems.

Job Description

• Serve as the product owner for managing Requests for Quotation (RFQs) with Sales & Marketing (S&M) and Operations to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure timely closure of RFQs with proper tracking through Turnaround Time (TAT) reporting.
• Drive the execution of First Article Test (FAT), First Lot Production (FLP), and First Article Inspection (FAI) to meet all customer requirements.
• Manage product ownership of Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing setup, ensuring accuracy and adherence to TAT.
• Lead product performance improvements through yield enhancement, scrap reduction, On-Time Delivery (OTD), and Parts Per Million (PPM) reduction.
• Manage product concessions and ensure compliance with customer requirements in collaboration with S&M.
• Oversee packaging, raw materials, tooling, and fixture management for assigned products.
• Act as the key interface with customers on product-related matters.
• Participate in weekly reviews of FAT, yield, scrap, and OTD status with stakeholders to ensure targets are achieved.

Job Requirements
