Job summary

A leading optics manufacturing company in Singapore is looking for a Product Owner to manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and drive product performance improvements. The role requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Optics or related fields and at least 2 years of hands-on experience with optical systems. The candidate will collaborate with sales and operations to ensure customer requirements are met and participate in testing and inspection processes. Strong knowledge of optical components and proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks are essential.

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in optics, opto-mechanical, or opto-electronic systems.

Job Description

• Serve as the product owner for managing Requests for Quotation (RFQs) with Sales & Marketing (S&M) and Operations to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure timely closure of RFQs with proper tracking through Turnaround Time (TAT) reporting.
• Drive the execution of First Article Test (FAT), First Lot Production (FLP), and First Article Inspection (FAI) to meet all customer requirements.
• Manage product ownership of Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing setup, ensuring accuracy and adherence to TAT.
• Lead product performance improvements through yield enhancement, scrap reduction, On-Time Delivery (OTD), and Parts Per Million (PPM) reduction.
• Manage product concessions and ensure compliance with customer requirements in collaboration with S&M.
• Oversee packaging, raw materials, tooling, and fixture management for assigned products.
• Act as the key interface with customers on product-related matters.
• Participate in weekly reviews of FAT, yield, scrap, and OTD status with stakeholders to ensure targets are achieved.

Job Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Optics, Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of optical components and their functionality.
