How you will create an impact

• Spearhead all aspect of product development including but not limited to establishing benefits structure, product proposition, service enhancements, research on products in the market, system setup and training of call centre staff.
• Review of policy wordings, brochures and other materials in compliance with Corporate and Underwriting guidelines.
• Responsible in providing background information to set up underwriting guidelines of all products including risk selection criteria based on information from portfolio team working with Head of Underwriting.
• Work alongside Head of Underwriting in managing portfolio profitability with pricing and actuarial team to ensure that finance objectives of product is met and providing corrective action recommendation to address profitability challenges for all product lines.
• Create and maintain a framework of market intelligence to identify opportunities in Singapore for A&H and prioritize new or expand existing products to ensure competitive positioning.
• Ensure that all product initiatives are compliant with local regulations and aligned with A&H strategic objectives to support distribution partners.
• Work with marketing, distribution partners, pricing team, actuaries to ensure that products developed has a clear succinct strategy to market and agreed monitoring of the health of the portfolio.
• Close monitoring of production targets for all products new or revamped and report preparation as required by management to ensure close monitoring of P&L of all portfolios.
• Any other projects which may be assigned from time to time.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Proven experience in developing and managing A&H products
• CGI or PGI and BCP, and HI certified (not a compulsory requirement)
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Knowledge of market segmentation, portfolio management, multiple distribution systems.
• Experience in the following areas would be added plus: (i) Actuarial/Underwriting background, (ii) Design thinking training and implementation track record.
• Strong interpersonal and a good communicator with the ability to present and convey strategic information in a compelling manner to influence different stakeholders.
• Growth mindset and thinking out of the box.
• Outgoing person who is a strong team player with results driven focus and customer centric mindset.
