Job Description & Requirements

As a Procurement Exec / Snr Exec, you will be responsible for managing Global Procurement Strategies to optimize costs, and Supplier relationships across Makino Group’s operations. You will play a critical role in driving strategic initiatives to enhance competitiveness, efficiency and profitability.

Global Procurement Strategy

• Plan and execute strategies aligned with company’s objectives;
• Identify procurement opportunities and potential suppliers;

Supplier Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers;
• Negotiate contracts and agreements, securing favorable terms and conditions;

Cost Optimization

• Implement cost-effective procurement strategies to achieve saving targets;
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities;

Risk Management

• Assess and mitigate risks associated with global procurement activities;
• Develop contingency plans to ensure assurance of supply;

Quality Assurance

• Collaborate to establish quality standards for procured parts;
• Monitor supplier performance and implement quality improvement initiatives;

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with internal stakeholders across Makino Group to ensure alignment of procurement strategies with business needs;
• Participate in cross functional teams on New Product Realization and initiatives;

Compliance and Ethics

• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to global procurement;
• Promote ethical procurement practices throughout the supply chain;

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree or professional qualification in supply chain management, or any engineering-related fields;
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing;
• Experience in strategic procurement, or supply chain management with focus on global operations;
• Knowledge of global procurement practices, market dynamics, and supplier relationship management;
• Negotiation and contract management skills;
• Effective communication skills, good interpersonal and cross-cultural experiences will be a plus;
• Ability to communicate in languages other than English will be a plus;
• Meticulous and detail-oriented;
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision;
• Able to travel overseas, willingness to relocate overseas;
