Job description

Overview

The primary role of Principal Resident physicians is to provide cost-effective and competent care of medical inpatients, with assistance from junior team members and nursing staff. PRPs are expected to anchor the team in inpatient ward rounds, including daily diagnostic and treatment plans, complementary to the oversight of specialists.

Responsibilities

• Anchor the inpatient ward rounds as part of the medical team, including daily diagnostic and treatment planning in collaboration with specialists.

Qualifications

• Possess a basic medical degree and/or postgraduate medical degree registrable with the Singapore Medical Council
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Senior Resident Physician
• Doctors with Conditional medical registration with SMC are to practice within the conditions of their registration
• Possess either Full/Conditional Registration with the Singapore Medical Council
• Possess a valid practicing certificate with the Singapore Medical Council
• Possess a valid Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Possess a valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
