A leading engineering consultancy in Singapore is seeking an energy modeling expert to develop and validate energy models for various projects. The role involves ensuring compliance with green building certifications, analyzing HVAC system performances, and collaborating with teams to inform design decisions. Applicants should have experience with EnergyPlus or similar tools and a strong understanding of energy codes. This position also includes mentorship responsibilities for junior modelers and engagement with various stakeholders.
Develop, calibrate, and validate detailed energy models for buildings, campuses, and/or energy systems using industry-standard tools (e.g., EnergyPlus, IES-VE, Design builder).
Conduct modeling to support high-performance design, code compliance (ASHRAE 90.1), green building certifications (Green Mark, LEED, Green Star, BREEAM), and incentive programs.
Analyze HVAC system performance, envelope strategies, renewables integration, and decarbonization pathways.
Establish modeling standards, workflows, QA/QC procedures, and documentation protocols.
Lead scoping, planning, and execution of complex modeling tasks across multiple projects.
Keep current with new modeling technologies, energy codes, decarbonization strategies, and simulation techniques.
Present energy modeling results to project teams, clients, utilities, and regulatory bodies.
Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, sustainability consultants, and project managers to inform design decisions.
Provide technical guidance to internal teams regarding energy codes, performance targets, and modeling implications.
Train and support junior modelers in software proficiency, methodology, and analysis best practices.
Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to internal capability building.
