Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to multiple moderate to large or complex engineering projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Oversee offshore installation and commissioning activities on client’s platforms for Yokogawa DCS and Safety systems.
• Implement and test control logic on Yokogawa DCS platform, implement security related controls, implement advanced applications such as Plant Resource manager, Exaquantum, advanced alarm rationalization etc.
• Provide onsite support for system installation, startup, and commissioning globally.
• Conduct testing and integration of various third-party system communications with Yokogawa Centum DCS and Prosafe systems.
• Perform installation and site acceptance testing of Centum VP systems, associated network and supervisory systems, and ensure compliance with technical controls, security solutions, and field device configurations.
• Execute loop checks and ensure seamless communication with Plant Resource Management systems.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, identify resource requirements, and coordinate teams to meet milestones.
• Responsible for customer satisfaction (internal & external) with engineering portion of a project’s deliverables in designated area of responsibility
• Provide regular status updates to Project Managers or Team Leads, highlighting progress and immediately addressing issues impacting quality, schedule, or cost.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with the engineering portion of deliverables, internally and externally.
• Prepare estimates for large or complex projects, including resource planning and analysis of customer requirements.
• Support sales pursuits by answering technical queries, identifying solution options, and participating in customer meetings with Account Managers.
• Demonstrate proficiency with optional packages such as batch, Fieldbus, reports, and EXA.
• Develop and administer custom factory or site test guides, including both target and targetless functions.
• Troubleshoot data communication systems during field startup, interpreting vendor diagrams and tracking signals across interconnections.

Required Experience & Skills

• Bachelor Degree in engineering physics, math, or equipvalent
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the process control industry and with at least 10 years of experience in implementation of Yokogawa Control systems engineering for DCS applications and commissioning of Yokogawa Centum VP systems.
• Exposure to Yokogawa CENTUM VP, ProSafe-RS, Exaquantum, FAST/TOOLS will be preferred.
• Able to design and implement simple simulations for testing applications
• Familiarity with international engineering standards (ISA, IEC, etc.).
• Knowledge of plant operation process and procedures of topsides and hull of offshore platforms.
