Job Title: Principal, Business Continuity Planner

Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and proactive leader to oversee our Supply Chain Business Continuity Planning (BCP) efforts. This role is critical in ensuring the resilience and reliability of our global supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and mitigating risks and leading cross‑functional initiatives to prepare for and respond to disruptions. This position requires a strong blend of analytical thinking, cross‑functional collaboration, and communication skills to drive business continuity across our manufacturing, logistics, and supplier networks.

Reports to: Vice President, Supply Chain COE & Trade Compliance

Key Responsibilities
  • Risk Identification: Proactively identify and assess key risks across the global supply chain, including suppliers, manufacturing operations, outsourced partners, and logistics.
  • Mitigation Planning: Collaborate with functional teams to develop, implement, and monitor risk mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Mitigation Testing: Plan, conduct and debrief mock exercises to test the adequacy of existing plans.
  • Redundancy Assessment: Evaluate manufacturing and supply chain redundancy to ensure continuity of supply during disruptions. Define and maintain criteria for identifying and prioritizing redundancy plans.
  • Investment Prioritization: Lead the prioritization of investments and initiatives that strengthen the BCP program and overall supply chain resilience.
  • Risk Notification Management: Oversee the risk notification process, ensuring timely and accurate communication of potential or actual disruptions.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications during supply chain disruptions, including customers and suppliers.
  • Audit Support: Support customer audits and inquiries related to business continuity and risk management practices.
  • Cross‑Functional Coordination: Work closely with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and quality teams to align and integrate BCP strategies across the supply chain.
  • Enterprise Risk Management (ERM): Support the Corporate ERM process by providing supply chain risk insights and contributing to enterprise‑level risk assessments.
Requisite Criteria & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, or risk management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or BCP‑focused role.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain operations, risk management frameworks, and business continuity planning.
  • Experience with supply chain risk assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, ERP systems).
  • Familiarity with regulatory and customer requirements related to supply chain continuity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities under pressure.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and resilient mindset.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills.
