PowerBI & Analytics Specialist (Sr. BI Developer)

The role of BI Specialist within the Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence department at FAB involves designing, developing, and implementing BI Reporting & Dashboard projects in PowerBI for international regions. The primary responsibility is to collaborate with key stakeholders across different regions to implement multiple BI & Data Analytics projects, manage development enhancements, and define architectural requirements. Additionally, the job role includes Data Modeling capabilities to facilitate data sets creation for self-assist dashboards by Business users.The job holder will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining PowerBI dashboards in cloud/On-Prem, along with contributing skills to Analytics projects as needed. Leading the planning and implementation of BI projects, actively participating in requirement gathering, design, end-to-end solution architectures, testing, and implementation phases are key aspects of the role. Working closely with IT project managers to determine project missions, goals, tasks, timelines, and resource requirements is essential.Conceptualizing complex institutional problems, discovering business insights through visualization techniques, and developing and executing database queries for analysis are part of the job responsibilities. Proficiency in ETL/ELT tools, SSAS tabular model design, and platform enabling configuration is required. The role demands a creative thinker who can propose innovative ways to analyze data, identify correlations, and define KPIs and metrics to benefit Business teams.Analytical skill sets are crucial for this role, as the BI Specialist needs to present findings to the business, conduct user walkthroughs, work on analytics opportunities for digital transformation initiatives, and perform Business Analysis of BRD to ensure clear understanding of scope and requirements. Reviewing functional solution documents and interpreting BI needs of business teams in technical terms are also part of the job responsibilities to ensure adherence to all BI standards and best practices.A good understanding of data is necessary to answer complex analytical questions, embark on exploratory data analysis projects, and work on projects that promote data-based decisions across business strategy, product design, campaign management, and customer service. Collaborating with business teams to document requirements and success criteria for analytics initiatives, as well as facilitating self-assist dashboards creation for Business users through Data Modelling from Consolidation Data platforms, are key components of the role.,
