Job Summary

The role requires strong theoretical and hands‑on expertise in protection relay systems, including configuration, functional testing, and integration with IEC 61850 standards and NR regulations in high‑voltage environments. It also demands offshore commissioning experience on Petrobras FPSO projects, with proven ability to troubleshoot and validate complex electrical generation and distribution systems. Proficiency in using a wide range of specialized test equipment and working with multi‑brand protection relays and SCADA systems is critical to ensuring reliability and regulatory compliance.

Job Responsibilities
  • Configure, test, and commission protection relay systems for high‑voltage electrical networks.
  • Conduct functional and integration testing in compliance with IEC 61850 standards and NR regulations.
  • Perform offshore commissioning activities on Petrobras FPSO projects, ensuring system reliability and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and validate electrical generation and distribution systems.
  • Operate specialized test equipment and handle multi‑brand protection relays and SCADA systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams to maintain regulatory compliance and achieve project objectives.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Essential to have on‑site commissioning experience of Petrobras FPSO projects.
  • Essential to have hands‑on experience with special test devices Megger Contact Resistance and Insulation Resistance Tester, Vebko AMT205 and Omicron CMC356 Test Kit, Tan Delta Testing Kits, SFRA Testing Kit, Power Quality Measurement Kits.
  • Experience with special equipment such as protection relays: UR, F650, series 3 and 8 (GE), PLC: P80 / RXi (GE), SAGE (Cepel), switches: Cisco, Hirschmann, Ruggedcom is essential.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in offshore and high‑pressure environments.
