Job description
Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive financial market analysis, including Japanese and global markets, to identify investment opportunities and risks.
  • Develop, implement, and review sophisticated investment strategies for high-net-worth and institutional Japanese-speaking clients.
  • Provide expert investment counseling to clients, delivering clear analysis and recommendations in Japanese, both written and orally.
  • Lead client onboarding, KYC (Know Your Customer), and compliance documentation processes, ensuring adherence to MAS and relevant Japanese regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare detailed portfolio performance reports, investment proposals, and presentations for clients and senior management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of MAS regulations and Japanese market rules to ensure full compliance and fit and proper standards.
  • Support business development activities through client relationship management and tailored investment solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or related field
  • Fluent professional proficiency in Japanese (spoken and written) essential to effectively communicate with Japanese clients and stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of Japanese financial markets, investment products, and regulatory landscape including MAS compliance and fit and proper criteria.
  • Proven track record of generating returns exceeding relevant benchmarks while managing risk effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, portfolio analytics, and familiar with Bloomberg, etc.
  • Excellent client servicing, presentation, and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Relevant professional qualifications such as CFA, CFP, CPA, or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in dynamic, multicultural environments.
