Job description

Upscale Classical Pilates fitness Studio with one studio in Singapore and two in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Studio Manager to oversee the Singapore location. Candidates should have senior management experience in the fitness industry with knowledge of sales, customer service and physical plant operations, and experience using MindBody Online (MBO). The role involves supervising the overseas Studio Supervisor and other Front Desk Team members, and liaising with HR, Marketing, Sales and the Company Director. Fluent in English is required; Cantonese and Mandarin are a plus. Successful candidates will have 3 years of management experience in the fitness industry and suitable references. Salary commensurate with experience. A team bonus is offered for achieving monthly targets and additional commission may be earned from sales.

Studio Manager Responsibilities
1. Customer Service and Schedule Management
  • Daily, weekly and monthly procedures for Customer Service/Front Desk
  • Recruit, train and manage Front Desk Staff in all Customer Service and Operational procedures as well as sales; set studio policies
  • Follow and train staff in Customer Service protocol
  • Review POS system and terms (credit card, PayWay, etc.)
  • enquiries for corporate and charity classes
  • Schedule instructors, classes and workshops
  • MindBody Online (MBO) management:
    • i. Checking unpaid visits monthly
    • ii. Freeing up slots for new clients (make the call to cancel class or adjust instructor’s availability)
    • iii. Setting and updating pricing
    • iv. MBO communications: listed policies, waivers, auto-emails, client forms, etc.
2. Physical Plant
  • Oversee physical plant; responsible for upgrades/maintenance
  • Develop and follow protocol for handling physical plant emergencies
  • Supervise cleaners; review and change cleaning supplier if studio sanitary and cleanliness standards are not met
3. Human Resource Management – Support Office Manager as needed
  • Review current staff organization and job functions
  • Implement changes for greater effectiveness
  • Communicate with and manage non‑instructing staff regarding job function, expectations and performance
  • Check payroll reports before submission for payment
  • Answer questions regarding employment contracts, payroll
4. Sales
  • Annual revenue projection
  • Set monthly targets
  • Compile accurate and final data for Monthly Overview and Sales Summary reports
  • Set up corporate discount details and create information sheet to disseminate to corporate staff
