Job description

The Senior Pharmacist holds the day-to-day responsibility for overseeing the technical operations within the department. This role involves addressing issues, offering expert technical guidance, conducting comprehensive assessments, managing orders, dispensing medications, performing checks, and providing pharmaceutical advice services from the pharmacy department.Key Responsibilities:- Supervising and managing the technical operations of the department on a daily basis.- Dispensing medicines based on doctors" prescriptions.- Resolving stock discrepancies and addressing drug alerts promptly.- Participating in the procurement of medicinal products when necessary.- Ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective dispensing of medications, including those for clinical trials and unlicensed medicines.- Developing, maintaining, and analyzing databases as needed.- Collaborating with nursing staff, other clinical professionals, and engaging with patients and their families or caregivers, especially those facing language barriers or disabilities.- Counseling patients on proper medication use.- Monitoring and maintaining adequate stock levels to uphold quality standards.- Performing any additional duties within the scope and level of the role.- Creating and delivering presentations during Directors" meetings.As an employee, you are entrusted with maintaining the confidentiality of any sensitive information related to patients, colleagues, or the Trust's business operations.,
