Job summary

A leading technology company in Singapore is seeking a candidate to conduct DFM for parts manufacturing and perform first part approval for mechanical components. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and have knowledge of stamping and machining. Responsibilities include reviewing parts manufacturability, preparing inspection instructions, and collaborating with suppliers on quality improvements. Proficiency in Mandarin is necessary for effective communication with China suppliers. overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is mandatory.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of stamping and machining processes is advantageous.

• Conduct DFM for parts manufacturing
• Perform FPA (First Part Approval) for mechanical parts
• Review parts manufacturability and parts design before tooling fabrication
• Generate FPA report, update status and results and share with internal staff and suppliers
• Identify CTF dimensions to be included in Incoming Inspection
• Prepare of Incoming Inspection instructions for parts that require inspection
• Investigate production fallouts due to part quality, collect data and study for root cause and countermeasure
• Work with supplier on improvement of parts quality activities
• Perform periodic factory audits on vendor capabilities, facilities, processes and prepare audit reports

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Preferably have 1 year of working experience but candidate with no working experience is welcome to apply too
• Knowledge in stamping, Plastics Moulding & Machining processes
• Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Mandarin in order to liaise with China suppliers
• Willing to perform overtime when required
