Oracle HCM Data Migration Specialist | Contract
Overview: We are seeking an experienced Oracle HCM Data Migration Specialist to support end-to-end data migration activities for our HR transformation program. The role involves analysing legacy data, designing migration strategies, executing data extraction and transformation, and ensuring accurate, secure, and high-quality data migration into Oracle HCM Cloud. The ideal candidate has a technical expertise, solid functional understanding of Oracle HCM modules, and the ability to work closely with HR, IT, and implementation partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage full data migration lifecycle for Oracle HCM Cloud implementation.
- Analyse legacy HR data structures, identify gaps, and map data to Oracle HCM Cloud objects.
- Develop data extraction, cleansing, validation, and transformation processes.
- Build and maintain data migration templates, mapping documents, and validation checklists.
- Execute data loads using HDL (HCM Data Loader), HSDL, Spreadsheet Loader, and other Oracle tools.
- Perform data reconciliation, validation, and quality checks across all migration cycles (mock runs & production cutover).
- Collaborate with functional teams to ensure migrated data supports business processes and reporting needs.
- Work with technical teams to troubleshoot load errors and optimise migration scripts.
- Support cutover planning, execution, and post-go-live data review.
- Ensure data security, confidentiality, and compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3-7 years of experience in data migration for Oracle HCM Cloud implementations.
- Excellent knowledge of Oracle HCM Cloud modules (Core HR, Payroll, Absence, Talent, Compensation, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with HDL, HSDL, FBL, and other Oracle data loading tools.
- Proficient in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
- Solid understanding of HR data, structures, and processes.
- Experience running multiple mock migration cycles and performing data reconciliation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and implementation partners.
