Qualifications

Full Reg with some clinic experience preferred. Training will be provided.

Perform manifest / cycloplegic refraction for all ages, comfortable with retinoscopy.

Other preliminary eye & vision tests including binocular vision tests.

Prescribing orthokeratology lenses.

General clinic administrative duties such as appointment booking, data entry & updating of patient database and records.

Pre- and post-surgery counselling including financial &insurance matters.

Washing & disinfection of instruments with autoclave.

Monitoring and ordering eye clinic stock and surgical consumables.

Perform pre- and post- op eye dressing.

Assist in preparation of eye medication for dispensing to patients.

Regular upkeep and maintenance of equipment in eye department.

Operate various eye diagnostic machines such as the slit lamp, OCT, visual field, topographer, a- & b-scan, wavefront aberrometer.

Assist in LASIK and other in-clinic procedures – full training will be provided.

Any other ad-hoc duties as assign by the Senior Optometrist, Doctor or Centre Manager
