Job description

Job Scope

• Conduct optical simulations and ray-tracing analysis to design innovative illumination systems
• Develop and test prototype illumination systems, ensuring they meet stringent performance requirements
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, manufacturing and quality assurance teams
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex optical engineering challenges
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in optics, photonics and illumination technology
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our optical engineering processes and methodologies

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering related to Optics/Photonics/Physics
• Experience as an Optical Engineer or in a similar role within the systems engineering or illumination industry
• Proven expertise in optical design, simulation and analysis using industry-leading software tools
• Strong technical skills in optics, photonics, illumination and optical system integration
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to tackle complex engineering challenges
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams
• Tertiary qualification in Optical Engineering, Photonics, or a related scientific/engineering discipline
