Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking an experienced operations manager. You will be responsible for resource planning, technical competency, and staff development within the operations department. The role includes implementing productivity improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with good manufacturing practices. Candidates must hold a degree in Engineering and have at least 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or plastic injection molding, demonstrating strong communication skills and a results-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Plastic Injection Molding, Automation, or Manufacturing Environment.
• Ability to communicate well with internal and external customers.
• Self-driven and motivated to achieve goals.

• Plan and allocate resources for the operation department.

Job description

You shall be responsible for the resource planning and allocation for operation department. Responsible for technical competency, staff development and training development plan for operation staff.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and organize productivity improvement programs to maximize machines, manpower and process efficiency and utilization
• Focus on the continuous improvement program to improve on quality, productivity and delivery
• Plan and organize manpower requirement for the department to achieve maximum efficiency and performance
• Responsible for supplier management and ensure the raw material and finished goods inventories integrity in all location
• Recommend new technology, methodology, systems and machinery to the management so as to stay relevant to market demand
• Participate and contribute in contract review meeting
• Responsible to uphold and standardized practices for all the operation site
• Recommend and verify the implementation of product non-conformity solution
• Responsible for CAPA (Corrective And Preventive Action), monitoring and reducing Cost of Poor Quality to minimize waste
• Establish, maintain and execute tasks for good manufacturing practices
• Maintain good environment practices as per regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or relevant discipline
• 5 years of relevant experience in Plastic Injection Molding, Automation or Manufacturing Environment
