Job Title: Operations Manager (Cleaning Services)

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly hands-on Operations Manager to manage and execute daily cleaning operations. This role is field-based, not office-based. You will be responsible for supervising cleaners on site, coordinating manpower and equipment, stepping in to perform cleaning work when manpower is tight, and ensuring all jobs are delivered according to SOP and quality standards.

If you are someone who is comfortable getting your hands dirty, operating machines, and leading from the front, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Go on-site daily to manage, supervise, and support cleaning crews

  • Fetch cleaners when required and coordinate manpower deployment

  • Plan jobs, manage schedules, and ensure the right equipment is prepared and delivered to site

  • Be hands-on and perform cleaning duties during manpower shortages

  • Operate heavy and professional cleaning equipment (e.g. floor scrubbers, polishers, industrial vacuums, etc.)

  • Conduct on-the-job training for cleaners on:

    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

    • Proper use, care, and safety of cleaning equipment

  • Ensure work quality, safety standards, and productivity targets are met

  • Report operational issues and propose improvements to workflows and SOPs

Requirements
  • Valid Class 3 driving licence (mandatory)

  • Willing and able to work on site daily

  • Comfortable with physical work and cleaning tasks

  • Hands-on mindset – willing to step in and do the job when needed

  • Willing to operate heavy cleaning equipment

  • Able to train and guide cleaners patiently and clearly

  • Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and leadership by example

  • Prior experience in cleaning operations or facilities management is a strong advantage, but not required if attitude is right
