About the Company

Scope of Work

A Operation manager oversees daily production process and schedule, overseeing quality output and ensuring safety, cost-efficient, and timely production to meet delivery date‑line. Products are produced on time and projects completed within the date‑line. Utilizing needed manpower resources, materials, machine & method. Create a timescale for production, supervising production processes and adjusting schedules when needed. Daily update of production activities to General Manager by end of the day (Set Up a reporting format).

Operation Manager also responsible for all equipment’s maintenance programmes to ensure every machine is kept in the highest stage for quality products.

Product manufacturing standardisation and applying quality-control programs, liaising with Team Leaders and problem solving.

  • Due to manufacturing business involves irregular hours, even during weekends or public holidays might occur to communicate. Committed to delivery date‑line and quality is the top priority.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage a 4M manufacturing system in the workshop. Train staff to understand deliveries, quality, process flow and product knowledge.
  • Update daily production status through WhatsApp before 5pm daily.
  • Develop and manage tracking systems for analysing production rates and product quality and identifying production issues before they arise.
  • Coordinate manufacturing staff to maximise efficiency, including creating the schedule, managing labor costs, giving instructions.
  • Assign IN/OUTING deliveries.
  • Manage the inventory to ensure production always has the supply needed to complete production quotas quickly and efficiently, placing orders when necessary in advance so inventory is restocked before depletion.
  • Fulfill administrative duties, completing production reports and overtime schedule overviews that detail production rates and worker performances.
  • Schedule training programmes for staff’s improvement at least once every quarter for every production staff.
  • Present production information to management, including solutions for potential improvement and strategies for implementing these suggestions.
  • Contribute to the hiring process, making recommendations for which candidates are the most capable. Interview requires.
  • Ensure safety at work must be practiced within factory premises and implement new safety rules when there’s a near miss or through observation of unsafe method.
  • Ed‑hoc duties related to (manufacturing) assigned by GM or Director.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Engineering with minimum 10 years hands‑on experience in high‑mix low‑volume manufacturing environment.
  • Must work in sheet metal or engineering factory previously.
  • Good track record in leading a manufacturing operation. KPI indicator for individual performance will be set.
  • Ability to present summary reports.
  • Ability to lead a production team to meet or exceed the key performance indicators (KPIs) set by the Operation Manager (e.g., productivity, quality, and on‑time delivery, etc.).
