Job summary

A leading trading company in Singapore is looking for an Operation Executive to manage trade operations related to fertilizer. The successful candidate will handle documentation, coordinate logistics, and assist with finance and compliance processes. Candidates should possess a Diploma or Degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of experience in commodity trading operations. Roles & Responsibilities
About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Operation Executive to support our fertilizer trading activities. You will manage end-to-end trade operations, shipping documentation, and logistics coordination, while supporting internal finance, risk, and compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities
Trade Operations & Documentation
  • Handle full sets of import / export documents (BL, Invoice, Packing List, COO, inspection certificates, etc.).
  • Prepare documents for LC application and bank negotiation.
  • Prepare Sales & Purchase Contracts, shipping instructions, and transaction files.
  • ApplyIncoterms 2020accurately in trade and shipping documentation.
Shipping & Logistics Coordination
  • Liaise with suppliers, buyers, surveyors, and shipping lines on cargo readiness and shipment schedules.
  • Coordinate vessel bookings, loading / discharging arrangements, and cargo tracking.
  • Compute laytime and support resolution of claims.
  • Monitor demurrage and deadfreight exposureand highlight risks to the commercial team.
Finance, Risk & Compliance
  • Support Accounts in payment processing and monthly accruals.
  • Provide shipment and volume information to finance for hedge matching.
  • Coordinate basic checks on hedging exposureto ensure correct coverage.
  • Ensure compliance with internal SOPs, Incoterms 2020, and documentation standards.
General Administrative Support
  • Prepare internal operational reports and updates.
  • Support Operations Manager and commercial team in daily execution.
  • Assist with administrative tasks where required.
Requirements
  • Diploma / Degree in Business, Trade, Maritime, Logistics, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in commodity trading operations preferred (fertilizer / agri / chemical / dry bulk).
  • Strong understanding of trade documentation, LC processes, andIncoterms 2020.
  • Knowledge of laytime and exposure to demurrage / deadfreight preferred.
  • Ability to support simplehedging exposure checksis an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills in English; Chinese proficiency is a plus.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced trading environment, with occasional after-hours support.
