Job summary

An established organization in Singapore is seeking Night Shift Caregivers to oversee the well-being of residents at Darul Ihsan Orphanage. Responsibilities include conducting health checks, ensuring homework completion, monitoring daily routines, and administering medications when necessary. Ideal candidates will possess strong caregiving skills and be comfortable working 12-hour night shifts. The position requires active engagement in ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Handing-over sessions.
• Update Home Guardians on incidences, medical, and school matters.
• Perform hourly round checks from 11:00pm to 5:00am.
• Monitor and manage residents during study sessions.
• Check and organize residents’ homework.
• Ensure residents’ bags and uniforms are ready for school.
• Accompany residents to clinic or hospital when necessary.
• Administer medication to residents when necessary.
• Conduct necessary spot checks and inventory checks.
• Carry out fire drill exercises quarterly.

Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct Handing-over sessions.
• Update Home Guardians on incidences, medical, school matters and consent forms.
• Update records books & reports.
• Perform hourly round checks from 11:00pm - 5:00am
• Monitor and manage residents during tuition and study period sessions.
• Check and organise all residents’ daily homework. Ensure that every resident has completed their homework by checking and signing their School handbook.
• Ensure that all residents’ school bags are packed and their uniforms are ready before they go to bed.
• Ensure that all residents have brushed their teeth and washed up for bed.
• Accompany resident(s) to clinic or hospital, when necessary.
• Administer medication to resident(s), when necessary.
• Check all residents’ daily attire and grooming before they go to school.
• Issue daily pocket money for all residents going to school.
• Conduct necessary spot checks.
• Conduct inventory and stock checks.
• Carry out the Physical Body Check on residents who are leaving and coming back from Home Leave.
• Check the First Aid Box. Dispose of any expired items and replenish finished or missing items.
• Carry out fire drill exercises quarterly and ensure both Homes meet all fire safety requirements.
• Perform driving duties, if any.

• Support MTFA / Darul Ihsan in all events/functions
• Perform any other duties assigned.
