Job summary

A leading healthcare recruitment firm in Singapore is seeking a qualified Fire Safety Manager. The successful candidate will oversee fire safety operations, prepare annual Fire Safety Reports, and liaise with relevant authorities. Ideal candidates should have a General Degree or Diploma in EHS Management, certification as Fire Safety Manager, and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. This position encourages initiative and independence.

Job Description
  • Register and assume the role of the Building Fire Safety Manager.
  • Perform all duties of Fire Safety Manager as stipulated in the Fire Safety Act and any other additional functions designated by the SCDF Commissioner from time to time.
  • Prepare and submit annual Fire Safety Report to the Management.
  • Advise Management on all matters pertaining to Fire Safety.
  • Regular monitoring of loss prevention equipment (e.g. Fire Protection Systems).
  • Conduct Fire Emergency Drills and tabletop exercises.
  • Liaise with relevant governmental agencies, which include SCDF and MOH on fire safety related matters.
  • Establish and review policies, procedures and standards relating to Fire Safety.
  • Update Fire Safety Quality Procedures, Work Instructions and Supporting Documents.
  • Conduct in-house induction training related to Fire Safety.
  • Review and improve the Fire Safety features within hospital and propose recommendations when necessary.
  • Act as liaison officer on behalf of the company for Fire Safety submission to the authorities.
  • Actively participate as a member or team leader for Safety Committee.
  • Develop and review Work Instructions and Quality Procedures for the department work operations relating to Fire Safety as well as training and equipping staff to carry out their work correctly, safely and conscientiously.
  • Coordinate with departments on all Fire Safety issues, particularly the one involved in minor or major renovation work within hospital.
  • Help promote a working environment of collegiality and effective teamwork.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department/Deputy Director.
Job Requirements
  • Min General Degree or Diploma in EHS Management.
  • Certified Fire Safety Manager under the Fire Safety Act.
  • Registered Fire Safety Manager with Singapore Civil Defence Force.
  • Preferably with a minimum 5 years of working experience in Fire Safety Manager.
  • Take initiative and be able to work independently.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
