We are seeking a motivated Network Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team on a 2-year contract. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing our enterprise network environment to ensure high availability, security, and performance. This is a hands-on position suitable for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is eager to broaden their technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, implement, and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
  • Assist in network upgrades, migrations, and expansion projects.
  • Perform network security tasks such as access control, patching, and firewall rule management.
  • Support WAN, LAN, and wireless connectivity for enterprise users.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve connectivity and infrastructure issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and processes.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support for critical incidents.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in network administration or engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, or similar).
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios).
  • Basic understanding of VPNs, load balancing, and wireless technologies.
  • CCNA certification (or equivalent) preferred; higher-level certifications (CCNP, CCIE) are an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
