Your role
We are looking for a dynamic and driven professional to join our Singapore Wholesale team as a Myopia Business Development. In this pivotal role, you’ll help drive the Myopia Management category, bridge scientific knowledge with commercial strategy, and strengthen engagement with Eye Care Professionals (ECPs), namely Opticians, Optometrists and Ophthalmologists.
As the Myopia Champion, you will lead the growth of the Essilor Stellest brand and Myopia Management solutions through strategic education, partnership building, and field execution. You’ll act as a trusted expert and category ambassador, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to:
- Manage and grow channels with Point of Sale (Optical Stores, Clinic and Hospitals) with Essilor Stellest
- Drive adoption of Myopia Management and Essilor Stellest lenses through continued Education and Training
- Expand our distribution reach and increase productivity in existing doors through Training and engagement
- Foster strong professional engagement and partnerships with Government, Private Entities and Associations leading the conversation through Stellest
- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to category leadership
Main responsibilities
- Manage Topline of total Category including allocated accounts
- Expand Stellest Reach & Performance
- Onboard and train new ECP’s through Instore Training, conduct webinars and seminars
- Support ECPs in adopting Myopia Management in practice
- Strengthen technical selling skills and product knowledge
- Work with various stakeholders – Marketing, Training and Sales team. Lead exclusive Stellest programs in-store and on the ground
- Develop new channel of business within Hospital network and Private Clinics
- Identify and engage doctors and medical professionals interested in dispensing Myopia management solutions via training and potential scientific collaborations
- Conduct clinical workshops, webinars, and in‑store coaching with a focus on scientific evidence and publications
- Build partnerships for peer review collaborations and task forces
- Develop business leads, particularly within private clinics
- Build Category Leadership
- Actively participate in industry events and scientific conferences
- Serve as a category expert and Stellest brand ambassador
- Act as Myopia Management subject matter expert to enable and coach other Sales Reps on the topic and sharing best practices
- Competition Mapping and Analysis to conduct gap analysis to pursue potential opportunities to expand the Category and Portfolio
- Creating monthly business reports for tracking and analyzing the performance & impact of training and other initiatives
Main requirements
- A Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Optometry or Med/Pharma Sciences
- At least 5 years of business development experience in the medical or healthcare sector; experience in vision care is a strong plus
- Proven ability to build trust and relationships with Ophthalmologists, Opticians and Optometrists.
- Strong leadership, organizational skills, and a hands‑on approach
- Business acumen with a deep understanding of market dynamics
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (written and spoken)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to extract actionable insights from data
- Willingness to travel and conduct regular market visits
- A growth mindset with a passion for innovation, sustainability, and making an impact
