Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail‑oriented individual to join our Advanced Repair Cell (ARC) at the SAESL Seletar Facility (SSF) as a Digital Manufacturing Technician or Advanced Technician to operate the GOM inspection process. The ARC will be a next‑generation repair cell where successful candidates can look forward to working with advanced technology and state‑of‑the‑art automation as well as digital platforms to deliver innovative component repairs for next‑generation aero‑gas turbine engines.

Job Responsibilities
  • Operate GOM 3D scanning equipment (e.g. ATOS ScanBox) to perform dimensional inspection of components for repair
  • Operate an Automated (robotic) Developer Spray Booth to prepare component surfaces for the scanning process
  • Perform process and equipment setup including, but not limited to, part fixturing, datum‑ing and alignment, process toolpath verification and validation of KPVs
  • Generate and interpret 3D scan data, compare to CAD models, and create inspection reports
  • Conduct first‑article inspections (FAI), in‑process checks, and final quality checks
  • Collaborate with designated process manufacturing engineers to resolve application (dimensional), process and equipment issues – support root cause analysis and execute corrective / preventive actions
  • Ensure inspection documentation is complete, accurate and traceable
  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualification / Experience
  • Diploma or higher in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Aerospace Engineering or related field
  • 1‑3 years of experience in dimensional inspection or metrology (preferred)
  • Familiarity or experience with robot programming and operation (preferred)
  • Knowledge in Geometric & Dimensional Tolerance (preferred)
  • Familiarity or experience with relevant software such as NX CAD‑CAM and PolyWorks to support GOM inspection operation (preferred; available training)
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Familiarity with common component repair processes is an advantage
  • Able to multi‑task and work well under pressure as an individual / team
  • Possess good communication, analytical, engineering and practical skills
  • Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Willing to perform shift‑work if needed and travel for overseas training
