Job Summary
You will collaborate with leadership, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate strategic initiatives into tactical actions that enhance merchandising and pricing strategies. Reporting to senior management, you will drive category performance and profitability through data-driven analysis and strategic planning.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of merchandising strategic plans to improve category performance and profitability
- Conduct periodic product pricing market analysis to ensure compliance with landlord requirements and benchmark against competitor pricing and promotions
- Design and implement regular pricing and promotional mechanics, ensuring accurate and timely execution by merchandising and operations teams
- Collaborate with senior management to gather and analyze merchandising and pricing data to support informed decision-making
- Identify issues and opportunities proactively, delivering value-added insights and leading strategic initiatives to enhance business outcomes
- Facilitate cross-functional engagement by creating context, consolidating alignment, and preparing business reports, analyses, assessments, and presentations for local stakeholders and HQ teams in South Korea
- Support senior management in strategic planning initiatives, business reviews, and implementation activities by organizing and partnering with business stakeholders to align merchandising and business strategies
- Manage ad-hoc assignments and projects as directed by senior management
Required competencies and certifications
- Business-level proficiency in spoken and written Korean and English to translate, draft, prepare, and present reports to HQ Management Teams in South Korea (required for effective communication with HQ)
- Proven experience in merchandising, price analysis, or business planning functions demonstrating ability to analyze and influence business outcomes
- Strong understanding of market research and data analysis to inform strategic decisions
- Solid knowledge of business fundamentals and management principles to support strategic planning
- Demonstrable strategic thinking skills to develop and implement effective merchandising and pricing strategies
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving aptitude to identify and resolve business challenges
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage stakeholders and convey insights clearly
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI to create reports and presentations
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent degree in Business or related discipline
