Position Overview

The Material Handler role provides hands‑on operational support to manufacturing activities within cleanroom environments. This position supports production operations by ensuring timely material movement, proper cleaning and sanitization of equipment, and accurate preparation of materials for manufacturing batches. The role requires close coordination with production teams and strict adherence to GMP, safety, and cleanroom practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transfer raw materials, consumables, and equipment into cleanroom and controlled areas in accordance with procedures
  • Perform cleaning and disinfection of trolleys, equipment, furniture, and materials using approved disinfectants (e.g., chlorine solution and 70% IPA)
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate materials according to assigned production batches and support manufacturing activities including filter integrity testing, manual cleaning, and autoclave sanitization loading
  • Perform weighing and dispensing of raw materials for production batches following approved instructions
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure traceability of materials and batch‑related activities
  • Comply with GMP, safety, and cleanroom requirements at all times
  • Support ad‑hoc manufacturing and operational activities as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Higher Nitec or Diploma in Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related disciplines
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, cleanroom, or pharmaceutical environments is an advantage but not mandatory
  • Willing and able to work overtime, including weekends and public holidays when required
  • Comfortable wearing Grade C cleanroom coveralls for extended periods
  • Comfortable handling cleaning disinfectants (e.g., chlorine, 70% IPA) and powdered chemicals
  • Physically able to lift and carry loads of up to 20 kg and able to work effectively in a team‑based environment
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
