Material Assistant (Logistics) – Manufacturing MNC

About the Role

We are looking for a Material Assistant with a strong background in logistics, materials handling, or warehouse operations within a manufacturing (MFG) environment. You will be responsible for supporting daily receiving, inventory accuracy, and materials flow to ensure smooth production operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving admin functions (GR)
• Verify incoming goods against supplier invoices
• Assist with MTS / WMS labelling
• Coordinate with suppliers and forwarders for timely deliveries
• Maintain FIFO, 5S and general workplace safety
• Perform GR transactions independently in SAP
• Support cycle count and inventory accuracy activities
• Participate in kaizen / productivity improvement initiatives
• Provide backup support to the section lead when required
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve material issues
• Ensure accurate and zero-error put-away to warehouse locations
• Handle additional duties assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• GCE O Levels and above
• Experience in manufacturing logistics / warehouse / materials management
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an advantage (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking internal teams)
• Strong problem-solving ability with good accuracy in documentation
• Knowledge in Excel, AutoCAD, Industrial Engineering, or Lean methods will be an added advantage
• Familiar with TS16949 requirements is a plus
