Manufacturing Biotechnologist Trainee - Train & Place Program

Overview

The Position

This role involves completing manufacturing tasks in compliance with cGMP and Roche's standards, supporting the Biochemical Manufacturing Department, and engaging in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Production System (LPS) tools.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting biochemical manufacturing processes, including equipment preparation, cleaning, sterilization, and environmental monitoring.
  • Operating computer-based systems for process control and data entry.
  • Participating in team meetings and collaborating with shift personnel and external support teams.
Qualifications
  • Recent graduates with degrees in Life Sciences or Engineering, or Diploma/NITEC holders with relevant experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work weekends, shifts, and overtime as needed.
  • Physical capability to carry loads up to 25kg.
  • Desirable: background in microbiology, fermentation, or protein purification.
  • Willing to commit to a one-year contract.
Additional Requirements
  • Adherence to safety, health, and environmental guidelines.
  • Participation in safety incident reporting and site security measures.
