Our client is a leading international corporate, fund and trust services provider with a strong global footprint. They are seeking an accomplished Managing Director to lead their Bahamas office, drive regional growth, and strengthen their presence across the Caribbean and the Americas.

This is a senior leadership role combining business development, operational oversight, regulatory engagement, and people leadership, with a strong focus on servicing UHNWIs, family offices, and professional intermediaries.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Growth
  • Develop and execute regional growth strategies aligned with Group objectives.
  • Drive business development through professional networks, intermediaries, industry events, and strategic partnerships.
  • Expand the firm’s market presence across the Caribbean and wider Americas.
  • Identify opportunities for cross‑selling, upselling, and new service offerings.
  • Explore M&A opportunities and support due diligence initiatives within the region.
Client & Intermediary Relationships
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with professional intermediaries, clients, and industry partners.
  • Promote the firm’s private wealth, fiduciary, and family office capabilities.
  • Act as a senior relationship sponsor for key clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Lead day‑to‑day operations of the jurisdiction, ensuring efficiency and service excellence.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets, revenue targets, and cost controls.
  • Oversee KPIs across financial performance, growth, client service, governance, risk, and compliance.
  • Ensure resources and utilization levels support divisional revenue targets.
  • Act as a senior liaison with local regulators and supervisory bodies.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and support compliance teams on complex client matters.
  • Prepare board reports and present at board meetings.
  • Escalate significant issues to Group leadership where required.
People & Culture
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire local teams, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance culture.
  • Drive talent development, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Promote work‑life balance and wellbeing across the office.
  • Champion the Group’s ESG initiatives at a jurisdictional level.
Key Requirements
  • STEP qualified with strong expertise in trust and corporate administration.
  • Proven experience as a Managing Director or senior executive within a trust, private wealth, or financial services firm.
  • At least 10+ years’ experience in trust, fiduciary, or financial services environments. Strong track record in business development and revenue growth.
  • Ability to meet MD/SO1 regulatory clearance requirements in The Bahamas.
  • Strong commercial, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Sound knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks.
