Job description

The Managing Director will have regional responsibility for Singapore and Malaysia, leading the Regional to deliver differentiated value to business partners, merchants, and prospects, driving enhanced premium economies and sustainable growth, and will report to Japan Headquarters.

He or She will be responsible for expanding card acceptance and issuance, broadening and deepening partnerships with financial institutions and merchants, improving business economics, and providing overall general management and executive sales leadership across businesses that interacting with Licensees and Merchants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and implement regional strategies in alignment with the overall company strategy, driving business growth and executing strategic initiatives across all countries.
  • Lead the Business Development (Acquiring & Issuing) and Partnership Management organizations to strengthen partnerships and drive sustainable market share growth.
  • Establish and build relationships with senior executives of customers at all levels.
  • Develop acquisition strategies that fully leverage the company's positioning and product offeringsto help the company acquire the maximum number of high-value merchants and card members.
  • Align marketing strategies with business objectives, striving to strengthen brand positioning, enhance merchant engagement, and increase company's presence within the region.
  • Lead the organization in leveraging data and analytics to formulate and execute strategies that drivebusiness growth and maximize market impact.
Personal Qualities
  • Well experience in credit cards issuing, acquiring and business development experience and project management
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple stakeholders in a multicultural environment across multiple geographic locations
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills, extensive experience in communicating in internationalenvironment at management level
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Organization and time management skills; ability to multi-task
  • Business Case development, including financial analytics
  • Ability to work collaborativelyBusiness Acumen
  • Results orientation
  • Solid solution development skills and effective working both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
  • JLPT1 is required in both speaking and writing
