Responsibilities
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans using Rapid7 InsightVM and other tools to identify potential weaknesses in our systems and networks.
- Perform in-depth analysis of scan results to prioritize remediation efforts based on severity and business impact.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure timely patching and remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines related to vulnerability management processes.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and industry best practices in vulnerability management.
- Assist in the development and implementation of incident response plans and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior security staff members.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity, preferably within a financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and system administration skills.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Rapid 7, Nessus, Qualys, or OpenVAS.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
