Overview

You plan and execute public and digital communication efforts in support of MINDEF/SAF’s communication objectives, principally to preserve and strengthen public trust and confidence in national defence, National Service (NS) and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).

  • Formulate publicity plans for mainstream and social media platforms
  • Work with media organisations on feature stories
  • Draft responses to forum letters and media queries
  • Develop local and international media engagement strategies
  • Manage public communications during incidents and unplanned events

  • Working with multiple stakeholders to understand complex policy and operational issues
  • Developing effective communication strategies under time pressure
What We Are Looking For
  • Education in Communication Studies, Political Science, Social Sciences, or Information and Communication Technology/Digital Media
  • Strong command of written and spoken English
  • Proficiency in another language (Mandarin, Malay, Tamil) is advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
