What the role is:

We welcome you to join our team as: MANAGER / ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, CORPORATE PLANNING, STRATEGIC PLANNING AND RESEARCH DIVISION, FAMILY JUSTICE COURTS. We are looking for a committed and highly motivated individual to be part of the Strategic Planning and Research Division in the Family Justice Courts (FJC).

What you will be working on:

A central part of the effort to keep FJC at the forefront of the administration of justice is the building up of an effective strategic planning and innovation framework for judicial administration, court policy and planning as well as supporting the organisation’s planning of judicial guidance and mentorship programmes. The Manager / Assistant Director, Corporate Planning will be part of the team who will help to oversee and shape these efforts. The key responsibilities of the selected candidate are:

  • Identifying short and long-term strategic challenges faced by FJC.
  • Assisting in providing strategic direction to achieve FJC’s corporate objectives and long-term goals.
  • Conducting research and planning strategies, court policies, judicial guidance and mentorship programmes to realise identified short and long-range strategic thrusts, policies and goals of the FJC.
  • Compiling and collating data from both primary and secondary sources using various data extraction and analytical software.
  • Analysing and visualising this data to identify opportunities, insights and anomalies to support policy and planning work.
  • Coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the implementation of strategic plans.
  • Planning events and programmes for FJC.
  • Performing secretarial duties for meetings.
  • Preparing policy papers to inform senior management on planning and policy issues.
Qualifications:

A degree in business/economics/statistics/data analytics/mathematics is preferred.

Experience:

Up to 7 years of relevant work experience. Candidates with no working experience are welcome to apply.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Good working knowledge of data analytical software, including but not limited to Excel and Tableau.
  • Excel under pressure and think systematically.
  • Exhibit confidence and energy, with the ability to facilitate discussions, encourage exploration of issues by others and deliver presentations.
  • Sharp analytical skills and a bent for strategic and innovative thinking.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to analyse and present complex data and arguments clearly, concisely and persuasively.
  • Strong planning and coordination abilities to execute programmes and events.
  • Well-organised with a keen eye for detail and committed to delivering high-quality work in a timely manner.
  • Self-motivated individual with high level of emotional intelligence.
