Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliability and availability of the Automated People Mover (APM) system. The ideal candidate will execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, and monitor system performance while strictly adhering to safety protocols. A minimum of Nitec or equivalent in Engineering and 2-3 years of relevant experience are required. The position offers a rewarding salary and work located at Changi Airport.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Preventive and Corrective Maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with automated systems is advantageous.

Maintenance Technician | $3,000 - $3,500 + VB + AWS + $200 Shift Allowance + OT

  • Employment Term: 1 year (renewal depending on performance)
  • Work location: Changi Airport
  • Working hours will be 0800hrs to 2000hrs or 2000hrs to 0800hrs, 12hrs shift work, shift work pattern will be 2 days working, 2 days off, follow by 2 nights working, and 2 days off.
Responsibilities

Maintenance Execution and Support:

  • Collaborate with the Engineer to execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities for the Automated People Mover (APM) system, encompassing the trains, associated subsystems, guideways, and light maintenance of depot equipment.
  • Perform hands‑on Preventive Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM), and troubleshooting activities to ensure system reliability and availability
Safety and Operational Compliance
  • Strictly adhere to all established safety protocols, operational procedures, and quality standards during the execution of all maintenance and repair works.
  • Ensure that all tasks are completed in a manner that meets critical operational needs and regulatory requirements
Monitoring, Reporting, and Inventory Management
  • Continuously monitor the operational performance and status of the APM trains, subsystems, and depot assets.
  • Promptly report any detected abnormalities, technical faults, or performance deviations to the supervising Engineer for timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of spare part and material consumption, and assist the Engineer in managing inventory levels required for maintenance activities.
Education
  • A minimum of a Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma (or equivalent qualification) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in executing both Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) tasks is highly advantageous.
