Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced site supervisor in Singapore to oversee M&E services for large-scale projects. The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, along with a valid RTO certification. Responsibilities include supervising M&E works, ensuring quality control, and coordinating with various trades. The position requires a minimum of five years in site supervision and a willingness to do shift work including nights, with expected commencement in early 2026.

Job description
Qualification:
  • Possess a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a Polytechnic, BCA Academy, or a recognised institution.
  • Possess a certificate in Building Construction Supervisors Safety (BCSS) Course.
  • Have a valid RTO certification accredited by the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institute of Engineers Singapore (IES) and the Association of Consulting Engineers (ACES).
Experience:
  • Minimum five (5) years relevant site experience in the supervision of building M&E Services.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience as a RTO, of which at least five (5) years shall be in site management of works in local large-scale M&E building and infrastructure works.
  • Experience in industrial projects such as factories.
  • Familiarise with installation and supervision of major M&E systems, including ACMV systems, Electrical power distribution, HT & ELV, Fire Protection systems, Plumbing & Sanitary systems, LPS, and etc.
  • Able to review shop drawings, method statements, material submissions, as-built drawings.
  • Monitor workmanship quality and ensure compliance with relevant Codes of Practice, SS standards and authority requirements.
  • Experience with coordination of M&E works with architectural, structural and specialist contractors to avoid clashes or rework.
Requirements / Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Conversant with statutory requirements, site management, quality control procedures, systems testing & commissioning and submission of progress reports.
  • Conversant in M&E design, specifications, site installation, services coordination, code of practice, Authority inspection and handing over.
  • Must be willing to do overtime or shift work, including night shift.
Site Supervision & Quality Control
  1. Perform all duties required of site supervisors under BCA
  2. Supervise day-to-day M&E works ensuring compliance with drawings/specifications.
  3. Maintain quality control and ensure works executed within standards and schedule.
  4. Check drawings for any site installation discrepancies; report issues to OIC/RE/PE/consultant promptly.
  5. Check materials, equipment, installation methods for compliance.
  6. Prepare site memos, defect lists, monitor rectifications and ensure timely closure.
  7. Inspect critical works/interfaces ensuring works follow approved plans & permits.
  8. Ensure statutory compliance and support authority inspections.
Project Coordination
  1. Coordinate M&E services with architectural, structural and specialist trades
  2. Attend site, coordination, QA/QC, progress and variation meetings; record minutes
  3. Inspect and assist in handing-over of completed works
  4. Collaborate with safety team to maintain high WSH compliance standards
Testing, Commissioning & Handover
  1. Witness and document T&C activities, functional and performance tests
  2. Assist in TOP/CSC submissions and authority walkthroughs
  3. Ensure proper documentation, tagging, and completion deliverables
Documentation & Reporting

Maintain site diary, daily reports, and photographic records
Ensure proper and updated records of all works are kept, including inspection records

Any other ad-hoc duties
