Job summary

A construction firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced M&E Engineer to lead and oversee engineering activities in construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, at least 4 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in Autodesk Revit and other design tools. Responsibilities include managing M&E systems installation, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with standards and safety regulations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee all M&E engineering activities in construction projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications, approved drawings, and project timelines.
  • Manage the planning, scheduling, coordination, and integration of M&E systems installation and commissioning.
  • Supervise M&E subcontractors and vendors, ensuring quality work, safety, and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Monitor and track the progress of M&E works, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, project managers, and other departments to resolve technical issues, discrepancies, and ensure seamless integration of M&E systems with other building components.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, building codes, and quality assurance requirements (e.g., CONQUAS, QM).
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, relevant authorities, and subcontractors regarding M&E issues, ensuring effective communication and problem resolution.
  • Ensure M&E works comply with Safe Work Procedures and safety regulations throughout the installation and commissioning process.
  • Prepare and submit M&E-related documentation, reports, and progress updates as required by the project schedule.
  • Handle any other ad-hoc duties or tasks as assigned by management.
