Overview

Executive Project Engineer, Fare System Rail Projects and Support

What you will be working on

As a team member of the LTA Fare System, you will work on projects to set up new AFC systems for transit environments and renewal projects for existing systems.

You will have the opportunities to develop technical specifications, review designs, and explore engineering initiatives to improve the reliability, maintainability and availability of the AFC system.

Responsibilities
  • Gather requirements from all stakeholders for tender document preparation.
  • Support Project Manager in planning, implementing, and monitoring AFC system projects.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues throughout project implementation.
  • Oversee vendor deliverables to ensure timely completion and adherence to required quality standards.
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, test procedures, and method statements to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with project team members, contractors, suppliers, and LTA cross-divisions to resolve technical and site issues whilst driving the achievement of project milestones and deliverables.
  • Supervise on-site installation, testing and commissioning, integration and handover to operator activities. Conduct factory and site inspection to ensure consistent work quality.
  • Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and highlight any risks or delays.
  • Follow up on project punch lists and defects, establish closure plans, and manage until proper closure.
  • Monitor and perform regular performance assessments of AFC systems after implementation.
What we are looking for
  • Background knowledge in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics/Computer/Industrial and Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Point).
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, BIM or similar drawing tools for design drawing review.
  • Knowledge of MS project / P6 or similar scheduling tools to read, interpret, and track project schedules and progress.
  • Familiarity with Rail E&M system requirements, with at least 2 years relevant project experience.
  • Dynamic, adaptable, independent, resourceful and agile.
  • Flexible in handling dynamic project situations whilst maintaining work quality.
  • Good communication skill and writing skill.
  • Clear and respectful written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Highly motivated and proactive work attitude with mindset for continuous improvement of work quality. Willing to handle conflicts positively.
  • Resilience and able to perform tasks under pressure and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Teamwork and collaboration with good interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work with teams and stakeholders from cross-division and understand stakeholders’ requirements.
  • Strong aptitude and willingness to learn technical knowledge of AFC systems and new technology.
  • Integrity and consistent work ethic.
