Job Summary

The Stocktaking Logistics Specialist is responsible for conducting accurate stocktaking activities across dry food and cold-chain (chiller/freezer) warehouses. The role ensures inventory integrity through systematic counting, verification, and reporting while maintaining adherence to operational and safety procedures. The role requires regular deployment to food warehouses—including prolonged work in freezer environments at -18°C—as well as flexibility to support other warehouse or storage operations during non-peak stocktaking periods. The Specialist must be digitally proficient as operations are highly digitalised, and must be comfortable travelling independently across multiple sites, primarily in the western region of Singapore.

Job Responsibilities / Key Tasks (External)

1. Stocktaking Operations
   • Perform accurate stocktaking and inventory verification tasks in dry food, chiller, and freezer environments.
   • Conduct physical counts, reconciliation checks, and discrepancy investigations.
   • Execute stocktaking procedures using digital tools, handheld devices, and warehouse systems.
   • Ensure proper documentation and timely submission of stock count results.
2. Warehouse Operations Support
   • Support ad-hoc warehouse or storage tasks during non-peak stocktaking periods (e.g., sorting, palletising, staging, labelling).
   • Adhere to warehouse workflows, storage protocols, and SOPs.
3. Safety and Health
   • Work safely in -18°C freezer environments for prolonged periods, with scheduled breaks.
   • Perform lifting/carrying tasks of up to 25 kg (preferred).
   • Adhere to WSH policies, report incidents, and highlight safety issues.
   • Support basic risk assessment efforts and departmental safety initiatives.
4. Technology Application
   • Use digital inventory tools, scanners, and warehouse management systems effectively.
   • Support technology-enabled processes and participate in digital adoption initiatives.
5. Customer & Stakeholder Service
   • Work closely with warehouse operators, supervisors, and customers during stocktaking activities.
   • Communicate operational updates clearly and professionally.
   • Perform tasks in accordance with customer requirements and service level expectations.

Job Requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP, and inventory software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital tools.

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in food warehouse operations and/or stocktaking preferred.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Able to work in -18°C freezer environments for extended periods, with breaks.
• Able to lift/carry loads up to 25 kg (preferred).
• Willing to travel islandwide using own means of transport (public or personal).
• Willing to work on weekends/public holidays when required (minimal expected).

Education

• GCE N / O Levels / NITEC or equivalent.

Certifications (Preferred)

• Forklift licence.
• Work-at-Height certification.

Additional Notes

• This role requires flexibility in deployment to different warehouse sites, mainly in the West.
• During downtime, the Specialist may be reassigned to temporary warehouse or storage operations as needed.
