  • Collaborate with legal teams worldwide to assess and mitigate legal risks.
  • Work with sales, operations, marketing, and tax teams on legal compliance.
  • Manage external legal counsel and service providers effectively.
  • Support the business in other APAC countries as needed.

Description

We are seeking an experienced bilingual lawyer with strong Indonesian regulatory experience to support Apple’s businesses and operations in Indonesia and other countries in the APAC region on a wide range of legal and regulatory issues. You will work with legal colleagues around the world to strategically mitigate risk in the region, using your deep understanding of the local regulatory environment.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations in Indonesia and provide clear and practical guidance on potential impact and necessary actions.
  • Engage collaboratively with legal teams worldwide to assess legal risk and develop strategies to mitigate risk.
  • Work closely with crossfunctional teams including sales, operations, marketing and tax to align on legal requirements and business objectives.
  • Manage and coordinate external legal counsel and service providers, ensuring excellent and cost effective legal advice.
  • Support the business in other countries in the APAC region from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors/Masters or equivalent in related coursework.
  • 7+ years of strong regulatory and legal experience advising multinational corporations at a leading law firm and/or in-house - preferably in Indonesia and/or Singapore.
  • Outstanding communication skills in oral and written English and Indonesian due to market coverage.
  • Qualified lawyer.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability with sound business judgment.
  • Ability to communicate, both verbal and written, in a clear, commercial and non-technical manner for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple matters proactively with cross-functional stakeholders under time pressure.
