Level 3 Production Support Developer (Java / Spring Boot) _ Contract

Work Location: SGX Centre, Singapore
Employment Type: 12-Month Renewable Contract

Job Description

We are looking for a Level 3 Production Support Developer to provide advanced application support, defect resolution and enhancement delivery within a fast-paced enterprise banking environment. The role requires strong technical expertise in Java/JEE, Spring Boot microservices, ReactJS and DevOps practices, with hands‑on ownership of production incidents and change requests.

The candidate will work closely with development, platform, testing and business teams to ensure system stability, performance and continuous improvement of applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes

• Fix defects raised in production and support development for change requests (CRs)

• Take end‑to‑end ownership of production defect resolution until successful deployment

• Update and maintain documentation in Jira and Confluence

• Participate in daily defect triage, code handover sessions and Agile ceremonies

• Coordinate with peer developers and platform teams for solution and code reviews

• Work closely with testing teams to prioritize and resolve defects

• Ensure regular code merge and version control management using Git

• Guide and manage offshore development teams

• Collaborate with development, business, L2 support and shared services teams

• Support production releases, including extended hours or weekend support when required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline

• Minimum 5 years of experience in application development and production support

• At least 8 years of hands‑on JEE / Java development experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in ReactJS development

• Strong experience developing microservices using Spring Boot

• Experience in Apache Camel, XML, SOA Architecture and object‑oriented design

• Hands‑on experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory and SonarQube

• Experience working with API gateways such as Axway

• Strong RDBMS experience (Oracle, MariaDB or SQL Server)

• Knowledge of design patterns, transaction handling and OOP concepts

• Experience with JUnit, Mockito and testing frameworks

• Hands‑on experience with Linux / Bash scripting and shell scripting

• Understanding of CI/CD and continuous integration methodologies

• Exposure to open-source technologies and cloud services

• Experience working in L3/L2 production support environment preferred

• Exposure to OpenText TeamSite or Adobe Enterprise Manager is an advantage

• Banking or financial services domain experience is mandatory
