Job summary

A leading catering company in Singapore is seeking kitchen assistants to help with dessert preparation and support kitchen staff. Candidates should be detail-oriented, physically fit, and have a positive attitude. The role requires individuals who can maintain cleanliness and adhere to food safety standards. This position offers training and operates from Monday to Friday, from 08:15 to 17:30.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a dessert production environment preferred but not required.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and handle moderate lifting.
• Pleasant personality and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, portioning, and assembly of desserts.
• Support chefs and kitchen staff with ingredient preparation.
• Ensure all food items are properly labelled and stored.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area and equipment.
• Transport end products to the fridge.
• Complete any other ad-hoc duties assigned.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, portioning, and assembly of desserts according to recipes and production schedules
• Support chefs and kitchen staff with ingredient preparation, weighing, mixing, baking, and packaging
• Ensure all food items are properly labelled, stored, and rotated according to food safety standards (FIFO)
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area, equipment, and utensils at all times
• Transport end product to fridge
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Company

Requirements

• Previous experience in a dessert production environment preferred but not required — training provided
• Good time management skills and attention to detail
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and handle moderate lifting
• Pleasant personality and team player
• Monday to Friday 0815hrs - 1730hrs
