A food service company in Singapore is looking for a kitchen staff member to report to the Wok Head Chef and ensure proper preparation and quality of ingredients. Responsibilities include maintaining hygiene standards, cost control, and assisting with other kitchen duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Reports to outlet’s Wok Head Chef, Head Chef and Management.
• Responsible for preparation of ingredients for food dishes.
• Ensures food/ingredient quality preparation and hygiene standards.
• Stores and packs food and ingredients according to safety standards.
• Controls costs and budgets for food supplies.

Job description

• Reports to outlet’s Wok Head Chef, Head Chef and Management
• Responsible for preparation of ingredients for food dishes in designated outlet(s)
• Responsible for the overall food/ingredient quality preparation and hygiene standards
• Responsible for storing and packing of food and ingredients in neat and orderly manner according to approved safety and hygiene standards
• Responsible for cost control and budgeting for food supplies to ensure competitiveness
• Any other duties as assigned by the Management from time to time, including assisting or being tasked to handle other kitchen sections’ duties
