Reporting to the North American Senior Commercial Sales Director, Life Sciences, this role is very visible and significant within the Company and the Sales function.The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:- Managing key accounts in the pharmaceutical small molecule, oral solid dose excipients space in North America.- Leveraging existing deep knowledge and strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers in the North American market to succeed with these key customers.- Introducing and promoting Ashland's wide range of pharmaceutical excipients and ingredients for the small molecule, OSD excipients market to key customers.- Negotiating commercial terms, including pricing and supply contracts.- Identifying and converting share shift opportunities by prospecting for new business.- Developing a robust opportunity pipeline and maintaining records in SalesForce.com.- Participating in trade shows and conferences.- Collaborating with a team of experts in the Ashland OSD space.- Contributing new ideas and innovation to grow Ashland's presence in excipients for large molecule biologics medicines market.- Traveling approximately 33% of the time to engage with colleagues, customers, and industry influencers.- Full flexibility on your location, if reasonably close to a major airport.- Actively contributing to organizational goals through initiative, goal execution, and performance focus.To be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:- A well-established network of industry contacts in the pharmaceutical excipients market.- Minimum of five years of successful selling experience in Pharmaceutical excipients/ingredients for the small molecule OSD application space.- Strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.- Ability to prospect and network at accounts to establish new growth opportunities.- Ability to relate to all levels within an organization.- Full, clean driver's license.- Demonstrated responsible and ethical behavior at all times.- Ability to drive greater value for the company through business understanding, complex decision-making, and innovation.Preferred skill set:- B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related discipline.Perks Of Working At Ashland:- Comprehensive Benefit package, Medical, Dental, and Vision starting on Day 1 for you AND your family.- 401(k) plan with company match.- Referral bonus plan - get paid to refer your friends to join us.- Supporting work/life balance with Flexible office location - Remote/Hybrid.In over 100 countries, Ashland LLC.
